SEEDS has completed development of a brand new Energy Literacy Series. The first Energy Literacy Series was launched in 1982, and during the next fifteen years was used by over 1.5 million Canadian students.
The next Energy Literacy Series uses web-based teaching materials to create a unique multimedia energy program. The program begins with an Introduction to Energy that is followed by ten modules that examine all the renewable and nonrenewable energy sources. It provides information about energy, where facilities are located, and how energy resources are obtained, converted, and used. It examines energy issues from different perspectives in a non-judgmental, bias-balanced way.
The Energy Literacy Series is intended for secondary students and is appropriate for use in several subjects in all provinces and territories.
