Mission CloudWatch - A CloudSat Satellite "Ground-Truth" Program
Students and school environment clubs are being challenged to act as “citizen scientists” by volunteering a small amount of their class time to assist in the "Ground-Truthing" of the CloudSat Satellite’s observations from space. Learn about CloudSat and help atmospheric scientists improve our understanding of our home planet, Earth.
Canadian Teachers and their students are invited to join the CSA (Canadian Space Agency) and NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) in an exciting validation of the CloudSat Satellite Mission data.
SEEDS is offering workshops to teachers in various locations across Canada to learn how their students can collect data as the CloudSat Satellite overpasses their school. Students will then be able to share their atmosphere observation data with mission scientists.
If you are interested in attending a CloudSat workshop or holding one in your community for local teachers, please contact us.
