National Challenge for Writing Literacy 2007/2008 Edition

Get on the Write Track for the Environment!

An invitation to engage students, to express their knowledge, emotions and opinions by writing on environmental themes fostering their awareness of and encouraging personal connections to the natural environment.We reward students for sharing their ideas in writing about nature and environmental topics.

The SEEDS Foundation wants teachers to submit poetry, short-essays and/or sentences on environmental themes MONTHLY this year! Pick themes from your grade-level curricula … animals, plants, waste, pollution, the seasons, insects, wilderness, lakes, birds, etc.


You can claim free rewards for every student, a certificate of participation and a chance in a random draw to win $25.00 in reward funds MONTHLY through this school year. Instructions, sample themes, copy master included! NB: The 2008 draw is only for Saskatchewan
